What we want to achieve

We want to increase the access to reproductive health trainings for young people. Through the trainings we aim to improve the knowledge and skills among youths on reproductive health, prevention of unwanted pregnancies and STD/HIV/AIDS infection and accessibility to RH services. We also promote the role of gender in reproductive health awareness. Finally, we are trying to increase the concentration of government institutions and community people on young people's health.

Special focus on Gender

We are promoting the role of gender in reproductive health awareness. Therefore, we offer workshops for young people. These workshops - named "Gender and Reproductive Health" - have the aim of motivating young people who are between 18 and 24 years old to have a more active participation in reproductive health prevention.
The participants are encouraged to share experiences and find out solutions for their lives in the future. The workshops invite people who have experiences and knowledge on reproductive health and gender as resource persons such as people from the Department of Health, Department of Education Youth and Sport, Health Care centers and NGOs which work related to the reproductive health topics.

Peer Education

Peer educators play an important role in talking and explaining to young people who are the most at-risk, by providing them with information about safer sex practices and reproductive health, including the topics HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases and the disadvantages of unsafe sexual practices. The peer educators are assigned to talk to a small group of two or three people three times per week.

Workshop for young people and parents and Teachers

The aim of the workshop will be to inform these stakeholders to be more aware of ASRH and encourage their children and students to have access to SRH information and the friendly services available. The main focus of the workshop will be about the importance of SRH.

Youth Centre/Libraries:

Youth centre is very important for young people to meeting together in term of educational improvement and infectious diseases prevention. They can spend their free times from school to develop their vocational skill and get more information about RH information and services.

Sport Health Promoting

Young people in the community in the target location will selected as sport player for the project. It makes young people spend time for physical exercise to promote the awareness of SRH at the football court.
