I. Training to young
people on Conflict Resolution and peace Building – Solidarity
in community:
We conduct trainings in communities in Kampong Cham, Prey Veng,
Siem Reap, Svay Rieng and Takeo. In one province there are two local
trainers. We train young villagers, students and village leaders.
Training participants are in the gender balance of 50% women and
50% men.
Courses:
• everyday conflicts, definition of a conflict,
analyzing conflicts
• causes of conflicts, definition of peace, writing
peace stories
• influence of alcohol on conflicts
• gender roles and their impact on conflicts

II .Training to young people on historical
facts and impact of mass killings on mental health:
Courses: We provide young people a three modules training
by emphasizing the importance of information.
1. Cambodians historical war-facts,
2. Impact of mass killing on mental state of health
3. Information about truth commission in South Africa,
genocide in Rwanda and other countries.
Module 1 conduct for two full days, module 2 and 3
are combined to another two days training. In each province we will
conduct training for four different groups and different communes
in the target provinces.
Topics: The topics are dealing with
historical facts of Cambodian war times and with the impact of the
past war crimes on mental state of health with the focus on the
Khmer Rouge time. As a preparation for study visit in Phnom Penh
we inform them about other genocides and how those countries dealt
with it.
Training Methodologies: Brainstorming, group discussion,
role play, case study, presentation, games, and lecture.
Participants: All selected participants
need to attend the 3 trainings modules. Each training course is
conducted for 20 participants, who are from different villages in
the selected communes in each target province of the 8 provinces.
50% is women participant.
