The fourth Angkor Youth Camp has successfully ended. It took place from the 26th to the 31st of March 2006 at the Provincial Training Center in Kampot. 240 participants from all the provinces in Cambodia as well as six foreign participants from Burma, Thailand, France and Germany came together to discuss and live together.

Our Aim |
The goal of the camp was to push the government to think about the establishment of a national youth policy.
We want to make the government adopt a Cambodian youth policy based on the opinions of young people and guarantee the interests of young people in Cambodia. |

During the camp, the participants focused on 10 topics, the prioritized problems of the "World Program of Action for Youth to the Year 2000 and beyond", initiated by the United Nations in 1995.

The Discussions |
The discussions were held in small groups of around 20 participants and the results have been presented in the plenary. Each group has collected the problems and impacts of the respective topic for youth. Then, recommendations and feedback for youth relevant institutions were given to work out an action plan.
